The Air Force exam in India is conducted by the Indian Air Force (IAF) to select candidates for admission to the Flying Branch, Technical Branch, and Ground Duty Branch of the Indian Air Force. The exam is conducted twice a year, usually in February and September.

To be eligible for the Air Force exam, a candidate must be a citizen of India and must have completed their 10+2 education or equivalent from a recognized board for the Flying Branch and Technical Branch, and graduation for the Ground Duty Branch. The age limit for appearing in the exam varies according to the branch for which the candidate is applying.

The Air Force exam comprises two phases: Phase I and Phase II. Phase I consists of a written exam, which includes questions on English, General Awareness, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning and Military Aptitude. Candidates who clear the Phase I exam are called for Phase II, which includes Intelligence Test, Psychological Test, Group Test, and Interview.

The selection of candidates for the Flying Branch is based on their performance in the Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT) and their medical fitness. The selection of candidates for the Technical Branch and Ground Duty Branch is based on their performance in the Phase I and Phase II exams and their medical fitness.

Upon successfully clearing the Air Force exam and the medical fitness test, candidates are selected for admission to the respective branches of the Indian Air Force and are trained before being commissioned as officers.
